Luis del Villar is one of Barcelona’s musical gems. With over 25 years in the music business, the producer and DJ began spinning in various clubs around town in 1985, progressing on to Pacha Sitges in 1992. In 2010, Luis del Villar began a night at the W Hotel which was the perfect backdrop to the already sexy house sounds that he had been known to entice audiences with.
His regular residences includes Pacha, Buddha Bar, Oshum, Catwalk, Roxy Blue, City Hall and a list of other well known venues. Also in Ibiza, where usually played at the most glamorous beach clubs from Sa Trinxa to En Bossa and some special events where is invited. Now playing all around the world in the most exclusives beach clubs and private parties thanks to his globally known podcast Ibiza Sensations.
His regular podcast episodes have been downloaded more than 8 million times in 2 years, making him the most listened to spanish DJ in the world and considered a "must see" DJ in the international scene with his silky and sophisticated sound of luxury. The podcast is also air-played in up to 50 radio stations around the world from Russia to Philippines, USA to South-Africa, Spain to Brazil.
As a producer, Luis del Villar’s credentials are extensive. He is the producer of the soundtrack to the Spanish edition of Survivor (Vale/Universal) not to mention his song Night People with John-Pierre-Linda under the moniker The Cat & Mr. Cool, reached number 1. "Night People" has been featured in numerous compilations with record sales reaching a half million. Luis del Villar also co-created the Dali Chill Out Album, released on Vale/Universal, which was a successful record honoring world renowned Spanish artist Salvador Dali. While Del Villar’s track “Number One” also received critical acclaim released on the prestige house label UMM, his music has also been featured on the "Spanish Chill Ambient" records released on Cassagrande and many other chill/lounge albums. He is indeed an important fixture in Spain’s modern music scene.
